Mr. Steve Porter is one of the pioneer makers of talking machine records, having been engaged in this work since 1897. He is a most versatile singer, comedian, and a experienced male quartet member. His work in the American Quartet is of the greatest value to that organization. Mr. Porter's comic style involves a rapid patter effect that is a riot. He also uses several different dialects and voices (both male & female) in his records to create great comic effect. His famous Irish and other dialect specialties have been much enjoyed by lovers of clean comedy.
